Optimal function status
Pre-Habilitation (Pre-Surgical Rehabilitation)
In some instances, physical therapy is necessary prior to a surgery scheduled at a future date in order for a successful outcome. Lack of full range of motion or inadequate strength are common reasons physical therapy may be required before undergoing surgery. This is particularly important with sports injuries that require surgery and joint replacements. Our therapists perform a thorough evaluation and develop of game plan to have our patients “surgery ready”. Having physical therapy prior to surgery often leads to a quicker recovery and optimal functional status.
